Chronic fatigue is the invisible enemy of your energy that only you can feel. No one else can see fatigue.
Not your friends, family, your boss or your cat.
Do you have chronic fatigue?
Would you be reading this if you didn’t suspect you were dealing with chronic fatigue?
Do you see the same person you used to be?
Why don’t you see the person who was excited about life and living every day to the fullest?
Hope is a prospect that seems almost non-existent.
How exactly did you get to this point in your life?
How did you get to the point where your life has changed in ways you could never have predicted?
Why do you feel like a CRAZY PERSON?!
Maybe you are waking up in the morning as exhausted as when you went to sleep?
Dragging your feet out of bed and driving to work fueled by only coffee and a prayer is your daily routine.
You always try to put in your best effort every day but of course it’s never good enough.
The thing that used to LIGHT YOU UP now only brings on feelings of dread and anxious thoughts.
Does chronic fatigue sound familiar?
At some point, you lost your way.
Then again, maybe you lost more than just your way.
You’ve forgotten what it feels like to feel good.
You look in the mirror and see only half of the hair on your head that used to be there.
Or maybe you see clumps of hair in the shower every time you wash it AND YOU WANT TO CRY.
You are gaining weight around your middle like there’s no tomorrow.
Your diet isn’t terrible. Exercise is something that you do maybe 3 times a week, so not that bad.
Being cold ALL OF THE TIME, even in July in a sweater, is what makes you unique to everyone around you.
Chronic fatigue has become your best friend. Not only that, but your friends
and family are beginning to think you’re avoiding them on purpose when they invite you
to spend time with them and you have to say no.
Or you forget EVERYTHING you’re saying in the middle of a sentence.
This is heart-breaking, I know.
I’ve been there.
Chronic fatigue isn’t fun.
Okay… you’re probably asking yourself, “Why am I dealing with this relentless fatigue and is there something I can do about it?”
You may be asking yourself, why am I dealing with chronic fatigue?
If your life would just go back to normal, this would just make your day. Am I right?
When you talk to a person, probably you just want them to listen to what you
have to say without offering their opinion.
(That may be something you have wanted someone to acknowledge for a LONG, LONG TIME.)
Others may say that what you’re dealing with is ALL IN YOUR HEAD, and you want
to bang it against the wall. (Although I don’t recommend that.)
The truth is you can overcome chronic fatigue.
You can go back to the person you used to be. You can be you again.
How do I know that?
Because I’m on the same journey.
I may be a little further ahead in the process, but believe me when
I tell you I’ve been on the same painful path.
Are you ready for a different path?
You’ve been down that road long enough.
As a result, the burden that you’re carrying is so heavy that it just might break you.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Maybe it’s time for a healing journey for a change?
You’re in the right place.
You see, I’d like to give you the listening ear you need, and the support to keep you moving in the right direction.
Not long ago, I was going through a very hard time with my health.
Unfortunately, all I had was more questions than answers.
Therefore, I’m not being dramatic when I say I thought my time was up.
No doctor was available to tell me what was wrong with me.
Was I fading away in my own body?
Unbelievably crazy in itself because I was never a person who would think that way before.
Would I have liked to have had a support system, a person I could turn to, or a community that would understand me?
That’s the reason I decided to create my blog to be a helpful resource for anyone
who is dealing with fatigue or with any of the things I have mentioned.
(Hint: It may be thyroid-related.)
Chronic fatigue has changed my life for good.
I no longer eat the same way.
My career has definitely taken a different path.
I have learned to take care of myself and my health.
I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned with you!
I baked for a living for almost a decade. I am a foodie through and through.
My spoiled cat has been the inspiration for this blog.
I hope my blog will bring a smile to your face and healing to your life so you
can look in the mirror and see you again.
Make yourself at home.
